J.A. Jewelers & Co. was founded in 2006 by two local brothers John and Adam Kinney. John worked for a couple ofdifferent local jewelry stores as well as two well known national jewelry stores giving him, at one point, the title of "Manager of the Year". Adam is a graduate of NM Highlands with a degree in Business Management with a minor in finance. Both demonstrate outstanding service skills in addition to building customer relationships. With the combination of jewelry experience and business management, they both decided to start working for themselves. They quickly made a great impression to any customer they were fortunate enough to come across. Over the years they always had a desire to grow the business, but it never happened just the way they wanted. So in the latter part of 2008, they moved to a new location of Farmington, the Foothills Plaza shopping center. Since the beginning in the new location, they've enjoyed great success in easier access and visibility which brought more customers in to see the great collections and experience the exceptional customer service.
In November 2008 J.A. Jewelers & Co. welcomed Geneva Nargo to the sales staff. Geneva has been in the jewelry business in sales for almost 12 years working for the larger corporations. Ever since joining the team, she's been pleased with the atmosphere, the inventory, the location and convenience.
In December 2008 Terry Coy came on board to work as our full time jeweler. Terry's had over 13 years in the jewelry business working for a local jewelry store taking care of all jewelry repair needs. We are excited to have Terry in the store, not only because of his expertise and convenience, but because when it comes to taking care of customer's jewelry, he's a perfectionist. We offer any kind of jewelry repair you could think of and we typically don't have to send it out of the store.
J.A. Jewelers and Co. is conveniently located in the Foothills Plaza in Farmington next door to "Garlic and Sapphires" and "Costa Vida". We are just a hop skip and a jump from Animas Valley mall in the fastest growing area of Farmington.
